Laura C. Martinez Of Giles Law, PLLC Is A Career Arizona Litigator And Probate Attorney.
Her practice includes handling commercial and civil litigation, including contract law, fraud cases, and intellectual property, as well as probate litigation and administration. Her prior work also includes appellate advocacy, and government representation where she advised on policy issues, and represented state agencies in both superior court and administrative hearings. She has experience successfully arguing cases in front of the Arizona Court of Appeals and participated in oral arguments in front of the Arizona Supreme Court
Laura began her legal career working for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in both the Protective Services Section and the Civil and Criminal Litigation and Advice Section. While there, Laura gained extensive and invaluable courtroom experience handling numerous trials, evidentiary hearings, and oral arguments. Laura also advised the Arizona Department of Child Safety on policy issues, where she assisted in reviewing and editing proposed rules and regulations that were later adopted under the Arizona Administrative Code. While working for these government agencies, Laura developed indispensable research and writing skills, as well as analytical skills that allow her to pursue the best possible results for her clients.
Laura graduated from Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver in 2014. Prior to law school, Laura attended the University of Arizona where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry. While at the University of Arizona, Laura worked in a cancer research lab and contributed work for the publication: Laura Brosh et al., ERG Overexpression and PTEN Status Predict Capsular Penetration in Prostate Carcinoma, 73 The Prostate 1233 (Aug. 2013).
Laura is an avid reader, and also enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and volunteering with students at her church.
